After scoring nine runs, driving in five runs and hitting three home runs in five games, Mike Carson has been named OU Student-Athlete of the Week.

Carson was a key part in helping Oakland go 5-0 on the week. He was 2-for-2, scored three runs, drove in three runs and hit two home runs in a 10-7 win over Western Illinois on May 1.

On May 2, his solo shot in the eighth inning sealed an 11-6 win over the Leathernecks, OU's first sweep of a conference opponent since 2006.
