Oakland Falls 7-0 to Eastern Michigan

YPSILANTI, Mich. - Sophomore Karen Karoub took her No. 1 singles match to extra play, but it wasn't enough to carry the Golden Grizzlies as the Oakland University women's tennis team (0-5) dropped a 7-0 decision to Eastern Michigan (6-7) Wednesday afternoon at Chippewa Racquet Club.

After losing the first set 6-2, Karoub battled back to force extra play before falling 7-5. Sophomore Caitlin Young lost in No. 2 singles, 6-0, 6-2 and junior Jackie Dinicu fell 6-2, 6-3 in No. 4 singles.

The Golden Grizzlies will return home to host in-state rival Wayne State University on Saturday, March 27 at Bloomfield Tennis and Fitness. The match is slated for a 2 p.m. start.
