Oakland Tennis Falls 6-1 to Dayton

DAYTON, Ohio - Sophomore Caitlin Young came back after losing her first set 6-1 at No. 2 singles and won the match in a 10-8 thriller, highlighting action for the Oakland University women's tennis team (0-4), as they were defeated by Dayton (5-6) Sunday afternoon at the Queen City Racquet Club in Cincinnati.

A native of Winter Garden, Fla., Young overcame losing her first No. 2 singles set and took the second set 6-3, forcing a tie-breaker that resulted in a 10-8 victory.

Also taking her match into an extra set was junior Jackie Dinicu, who after winning her first set 6-2, lost the second 6-4, resulting in a 10-7 loss in the third.

The Golden Grizzlies will return home to host local rival Wayne State University on Saturday, March 27, starting at 2 p.m.
