Rochester, Mich. (Jan. 5, 2007) - Oakland's baseball team will be holding its Second Annual "First Pitch" Banquet February 3, 2007 to help raise funds that will directly benefit the program, as well as honor current and former team members. Festivities will take place in the Athletics Center O'Rena from 5-9 p.m. All those interested can download a registration form from the OU baseball website. This year's banquet will feature keynote speaker Matt Nokes, a former Detroit Tiger, and Dan Hauser, Executive Vice President of Palace Sports & Entertainment, Inc. and the Detroit Pistons. The Distinguished Alumnus Award will be presented and a silent auction will take place as well as other activities. Cost for the event is $75 per person or $600 per table (eight people to a table).
