With two gone the Buckeyes proceeded to rack up eight runs on seven hits. Garrard came through again with a double down the left field line that brought in two more runs before Cody Caughenbaugh singled to the left side to drive in another two runs. Starting pitcher
Dominic Carmosino (Cincinnati, Ohio) and reliever

Oakland???s pitching staff did not strike out a single batter. Oakland took advantage of an error by Ohio State left fielder Steve Caravati to score two runs in the sixth.
John Sullivan (Saginaw, Mich.) drove in
Bryan DeLamielleure (Romeo, Mich.) before
Tim Doig (Farmington, Mich.) came around from second as Caravati had trouble fielding the ball.
