Rochester, Mich. (Feb. 19, 2004)???C The start of the 2004 Oakland baseball season will begin a little sooner than originally planned. Oakland was scheduled to open the season with a four-game series at Kansas beginning on Wednesday, February 25. But due to poor weather conditions the two teams agreed to move the start of the series up to Monday, February 23 beginning at 3:00 p.m. local time (4:00 p.m. EST). All four games will begin at 3:00 p.m. local time at Hoglund Ballpark in Lawrence, Kan. Oakland is scheduled to face Eastern Kentucky in a four-game series following its series with Kansas on Friday, March 5 beginning at 2:00 p.m. EST.
