The Oakland University baseball team earned a three seed in the Mid-Continent Conference Tournament in Tulsa, Oklahoma beginning Thursday, May 23. Oakland will face #2 Southern Utah in the second game Thursday at 3:30 p.m. CST. The Golden Grizzlies and Thunderbirds split the regular-season series in Rochester, Michigan April 20-21. Oakland won the opening game, 8-5, and the fourth game, 4-3. The Golden Grizzlies dropped the middle games of the series, 11-3 and 7-0. Left-handed pitcher Jared Thomas is scheduled to get the start in game one for OU. Thomas finished the regular season 3-4 with a 4.50 ERA.
