The Oakland University baseball team was defeated by Georgia State in two games Monday afternoon in Atlanta, Georgia. Oakland fell to the Panthers 13-4, 13-4 in both games. Oakland falls to 0-3 on the year while GSU improves to 7-3. Oakland fell behind in game one 4-0 through three innings and scored two in the fourth and one in both the fifth and six innings to tie the game at 4-4. Kirk Anderson (0-1) was the losing pitcher as he threw 3.0 innings, gave up four hits, three runs, two earned runs, walked two and struck out two. In game two GSU jumped out to a 5-0 lead in the first two innings and never looked back. The Golden Grizzlies scored two runs in both the third and seventh innings, but it wasn't enough as the Panters claimed the 13-4 win. Senior third baseman

Brad Morenko (0-1) was the Oakland pitcher of record as he threw the first four innings and gave up eight hits, five earned runs and struck out three. The Golden Grizzlies will continue their spring trip with a two-day series at Georgia Tech Tuesday and Wednesday. Tuesday's first pitch will be at 4 p.m.
