ROCHESTER, Mich. - The Oakland University men's golf team has announced its 2026-27 schedule, setting up an exciting season as the Golden Grizzlies look to return to conference championship glory, after coming up just short last season. With new Head Coach Darin Hudak piloting the program, Oakland is poised for an exciting season.
Fall Schedule
Oakland opens the season at the RedHawk Intercollegiate, hosted by Miami (Ohio) on Sept. 14-15 at Pittsburgh Field Club. The Golden Grizzlies will then travel to Wisconsin for the Badger Invitational, hosted by the University of Wisconsin, Sept. 27-29 at University Ridge Golf Course.
The Golden Grizzlies return to the Tom Tontimonia Invitational Oct. 5-6, hosted by Cleveland State at Lakewood Country Club. Oakland finished second at the event last season, providing momentum heading into the remainder of its fall slate.
Oakland continues its fall schedule at the Purdue Fall Invitational Oct. 12-13 at Kampen-Cosler Golf Course, hosted by Purdue University. The Golden Grizzlies turned in another strong performance at the tournament last season, finishing third overall.
The fall schedule concludes Oct. 19-20 at the Dayton Flyer Invitational, hosted by the University of Dayton on the South Course at NCR Country Club.
With a mix of familiar tournaments and challenging competition, Oakland will look to use its fall slate to establish itself among the Horizon League's top programs while building momentum heading into the spring portion of the season.
Spring Schedule
After a winter break, Oakland returns to competition Feb. 27 at the In Good Standing Classic, hosted by Columbia University. The Golden Grizzlies will use the early-season event as an opportunity to shake off the winter rust and build momentum for the critical stretch of the spring schedule.
Oakland continues its spring slate with a pair of tournaments in March, traveling to Tennessee for the Skyhawk Invitational, hosted by UT Martin, March 22-23 before returning to Miami (Ohio) for the Sweetens Cove Intercollegiate March 27-29. The back-to-back events will provide the Golden Grizzlies with a strong test against quality competition as they prepare for the postseason.
The regular season concludes with the 2027 Racer Intercollegiate April 5-6 at Murray State, followed by the one-day Indian Ridge Shootout on April 12. With the Horizon League Championship on the horizon, Oakland will look to close the regular season strong and carry its momentum into the postseason.
