ROCHESTER, Mich. – The Oakland Golden Grizzlies Men's Basketball team is set for Senior Day on the Blacktop to face #MetroSeries rival Detroit Mercy in the OU Credit Union O'rena on Saturday, Feb. 27. Recognizing five members of the Golden Grizzlies' senior class, tipoff is scheduled for 3 p.m. ET.
Oakland (16-14, 12-7 HL) picked up its 12th conference win of the season and defeated IU Indy, 86-74, on Wednesday inside The Jungle.
Senior Brody Robinson led the way with 19 points, including two three-pointers from beyond the arc, and recorded a career-high 13 assists, to land him in the program's top-10 in a single game in the Division I era. Fifth-year Tuburu Naivalurua netted 16 points, marking the second consecutive game with at least 16 total points, while also adding four rebounds and two assists. Senior Ziare Wells recorded 14 points and six steals, as junior Isaac Garrett showcased a strong defensive effort by controlling the boards with nine rebounds and registering two steals.
Wednesday night marked head coach Greg Kampe's 1,300th career game — all coming from his 42 years at the helm in Black and Gold. He ranks seventh all-time in Division I history in games coached.

SCOUTING THE TITANS
The Titans can get as high as the third seed or fall all the way to seventh with just one game left in the regular season as Detroit Mercy is second in the Horizon League in three-point field-goal defense (33%) and second in overall field-goal percentage defense (44.4). Mark Montgomery and the Titans were on a four-game winning streak in the league before dropping to Robert Morris on Wednesday, and sufficing a #2 seed spot in the tournament.
The Golden Grizzlies hit a program-best 95 points inside Calihan Hall, in a 95-87 win over UDM in January. Wells netted a season-high of 24 points, hitting a career-high 11 of his 13 field goal attempts and adding three assists. Robinson also tallied 24 points, converting all nine of his free throws and contributing 10 assists for his fourth double-double of the season, marking the second consecutive game Robinson dished out double-digit assists. Naivalurua finished with 16 points and collected eight rebounds off the glass while making all six of his free throw attempts.
