EL SEGUNDO, Calif. – Golden Grizzlies assistant coach Bobby Naubert was named to the 2026 Silver Waves Media Top/Most Impactful Mid-Major Assistant Coaches list, Silver Waves Media announced Monday.

Naubert, who enters his fourth season on head coach Greg Kampe's staff, is recognized among the nation's most impactful assistant coaches at the mid-major level. The prestigious list highlights assistant coaches who are making a significant impact on their programs, student-athletes, and the college basketball landscape.

Since joining the Golden Grizzlies prior to the 2023-24 season, Naubert has helped Oakland continue its tradition of success under Kampe, the longest-tenured active head coach in NCAA Division I men's basketball. Naubert has played a key role in recruiting and player development while helping guide the Golden Grizzlies to the 2024 Horizon League regular-season championship and the 2024 Horizon League Championship title game.

Prior to Oakland, Naubert spent two seasons at Garden City Community College, where he helped the Broncbusters post the most wins in program history in 2022-23 with a 21-9 record. During his time at Garden City, he recruited and developed three National Junior College Athletic Association All-Americans, 15 NCAA Division I products from the junior college ranks, two Jayhawk Conference First Team selections and a Jayhawk Conference Rookie of the Year. He also helped the program post the highest team grade-point average in school history at 3.4.

Naubert began his collegiate coaching career at Central Michigan, joining the program as a graduate assistant in 2017 before serving as video coordinator and later director of basketball operations. During his time with the Chippewas, he was part of back-to-back 20-win seasons and a 23-12 campaign in 2018-19 that marked the most wins in program history at the time.

A Michigan native, Naubert also spent time at Iowa Western Community College, where he recruited First and Second Team All-Region selections, and played professionally in Germany for two seasons. As a collegiate player at Madonna University, he earned NAIA All-American honors three times and was named Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference Player of the Year.
