INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - The Horizon League announced on Monday that Oakland's
Andriy Bilous has earned the #HLMSOC Player of the Week Award, after his goal-scoring performance against Milwaukee, joining teammate Christopher Jean-Léger as the only Oakland players to earn the weekly award this season.
Bilous scored his first goal of the season in the 10th minute of Sunday's match, which ended in a 1-1 draw. The junior from Troy, Mich. led all players with two shots on goal, and became the second player on the Golden Grizzlies to reach at least one goal and one assist on the season.
He is tied for the team lead in assists (2), second in shots (13), and third in shots on goal (5), placing him as one of the key offensive contributors for Oakland in his second season on the squad.
The Golden Grizzlies look to build on earning their first conference points last time out, traveling to Green Bay for their next match on Oct. 4th.
