ROCHESTER, Mich. – Women's tennis team returns to Horizon League play this weekend with a pair of home matches, hosting Northern Kentucky on Friday and IU Indianapolis on Saturday. First serve for both matches is set for 4:30 p.m..
The Golden Grizzlies look to continue building momentum in conference play as they take on two competitive league opponents. Oakland enters the weekend with confidence following a strong start to Horizon League action, where they defeated Milwaukee and Chicago State.
Martyna Piechowicz and
Tara Montreuil aim to continue their dominance. This week, the duo picked up Doubles Team of the Week, marking their impressive start to league play.
Nisa Bulut went 2-0 in singles play this past weekend, and
Edie Hammond put together a hard-fought comeback against Milwaukee to help secure the team win.
Saturday's matchup against IU Indianapolis will also serve as Senior Day, where the program will honor Warisara "Best" Lee, who will be graduating with her Master's in Finance. A key contributor on and off the court, Best has been an integral part of this program throughout this season.
