OWENS CROSS ROADS, Al. – Oakland Women's Golf wrapped up play at the Huntsville.org Intercollegiate with an eighth-place finish, posting a team score of 956 (+92) over three rounds at Hampton Cove - Highlands in Owens Cross Roads, Alabama.

Leading the way for the Golden Grizzlies was Olivia Hemmila, who delivered a strong performance to finish tied for ninth overall with a total score of 230 (+14). Hemmila improved her score in each round, shooting 79, 74, and 77.

Lily Bargamian and Grace Boczar both tied for 33rd with a total of 241 (+25), while Savannah Haque and Paige Scott rounded out Oakland's scoring lineup, finishing tied for 46th and 49th, respectively.

Troy claimed the team title with a total score of 907, while Samford's Gabi Nicastro secured individual medalist honors with a score of 220 (+4).

Oakland will look to build on this performance as they continue their spring season, gaining valuable experience against a competitive field. Up next, the Golden Grizzlies head to the inaugural ANNIKA More Than Golf Invitational on March 28-30, 2025.
