Indianapolis, Ind. – The Horizon League announced this week's #HLMSOC Offensive and Defensive Players of the Week, naming Oakland's Tim Allos and Malik Sylvester as the award recipients.

The duo becomes the first pair of teammates to sweep the weekly honors this season, with Allos earning Offensive Player of the Week and Sylvester taking Defensive Player of the Week after leading the Golden Grizzlies to a strong 2-1 victory over Green Bay on Sunday — marking their first win of the season.

Allos becomes the third Golden Grizzly to earn Offensive Player of the Week honors, joining Christopher Jean-Léger and Andriy Bilous, who received the recognition last week. The senior from Sterling Heights scored both of Oakland's goals within a two-minute span to secure the team's first win of the season. His first goal came in the 80th minute to equalize the score, with his second — the game-winner — coming just five minutes later. The pair of goals moves him into a tie for third in the conference for goals scored, with four on the season.

Sylvester earns his first Defensive Player of the Week nod following a lockdown performance against the Phoenix. An iron man on the back line, he played the full 90 minutes for the ninth time in 10 games this season, leading the team in minutes played (890). He anchored the Golden Grizzlies' second-half defensive stand, holding Green Bay scoreless for the final 62 minutes of play and limiting them to just two shots on goal in the half.

The Golden Grizzlies look to carry their momentum into a busy week as they host Butler on Tuesday, Oct. 7, and Detroit Mercy on Saturday, Oct. 11.
