EAST LANSING, Mich. – The Oakland University women's golf team competed in the Mary Fossum Invitational this past weekend, finishing in 14th place with a total score of +63 (927) over three rounds.
Leading the charge for the Golden Grizzlies was Lily Bargamian, who finished tied for 35th overall with a score of +10 (226), showcasing consistent play with rounds of 76, 74, and 76. Following closely was Olivia Hemmila, who secured a tie for 47th with a total of +12 (228), highlighted by a strong opening round of 74.
Grace Boczar and Nateda Her showed resilience, finishing tied for 70th and 79th with scores of +19 (235) and +24 (240), respectively. Paige Scott rounded out the team's scoring, ending the tournament with a score of +35 (251).
Despite the tough competition, the Golden Grizzlies demonstrated resilience and determination on the course. The Mary Fossum Invitational was a strong field, featuring several top programs, and served as a valuable opportunity for Oakland to compete at a high level. The Golden Grizzlies are looking forward to their next challenge at the Bradley Invite as they aim to improve and build on their performances.
