YPSILANTI, Mich. - The Golden Grizzlies completed a six-run comeback as its bats exploded in the last third of the game as it defeated the Eastern Michigan Eagles, 20-17, at Oestrike Stadium.

The Golden Grizzlies (16-16, 7-5 HL) were led by
Carter Hain who erupted for eight RBI as he led the team with two home runs. Eight Golden Grizzlies tacked on at least a hit, as four players had multi-hit nights. Along with Hain's eight RBI, five other Golden Grizzlies had a multi–RBI day.
Â
The Eagles (12-19, 7-5 MAC) also saw eight batters record at least a hit as Cory Taylor led the team with his five hits and four RBI off two home runs and a double.
Â
Brandon Nigh got the Golden Grizzlies on the board first as a high sacrifice fly was hit towards center, as

The Eagles answered in a big way, however, as it quickly went up 4-1 in the bottom of the first, followed by three more runs in the second. Oakland didn't count itself out early though as it tallied four runs in the third.

Trent Rice was walked and sped from first to home off a
Sam Griffith double, as he was eventually batted in from another Nigh RBI. The team kept it rolling with the bases loaded, as a sacrifice fly brought Bussey across the dish, followed by Hain's first RBI of the evening with a single. The two-run deficit quickly turned four, however, as The Eagles made it 9-5 after three.
Â
The Eagles grabbed two more runs to put the Golden Grizzlies down, 11-5, after the fifth and were held hitless in the sixth to force a six-run comeback with nine outs to play. Oakland answered big time in the seventh as
John Lauinger sent one home, as the Golden Grizzlies loaded the bases with one out to work with. Hain saw a 2-1 count and smacked a grand-slam towards center field to cut the deficit to one, as
Ian Cleary ripped a home run towards right to take the lead.
Â
An Eagles home run knotted the game up at 12 after seven, but the team kept on rolling as it replicated what it did in the seventh as Lauinger opened up with a RBI and Hain, during his next at-bat, smacked one deep into right field for a three-run home run and his eighth RBI of the game. The Eagles didn't quit though as three runs cut the lead back to one once again.
Â
Oakland looked to add some much-needed insurance runs as a Bussey double brought in two, followed by another Nigh sacrifice fly and a
Lucas Day single to make it 20-15. The four insurance runs were needed as a two-run home run capped off the scoring for the Eagles as the Golden Grizzlies went on to win the high-scoring affair, 20-17.
