ROCHESTER, Mich. - Oakland concludes the CSCAA National Invitational Championships with an impressive fourth place finish from the men's team at 554 points, and a 16th place finish from the women's team at 165 points. 

This has been a remarkable weekend in the pool for the Golden Grizzlies and with the last day of competition the team put up seven top ten finishes from individual events and relay events combined on both teams. Jonas Cantrell sealed the third place finish in the 1000 yard freestyle with his time of 9:18.94, and then went jumped back in to take tenth place in the mile at a time of 15:47.98. Teammate Jack Wike took home the third place finish in the 100 IM after he touched the wall at 48.20. Then for the women's 100 IM event, Jordyn Shipps took home the eighth place finish from her time in the lanes at 55.57. Following was the 200 backstroke where Harry Nicholson took 11th place with a time of 1:43.16, and then the 100 freestyle where Micah Scheffer tabbed 18th at a time of 44.57. To round out the next 200 yard events was the breaststroke and butterfly where Christopher Palvadre took fourth in the breaststroke event (1:56.71), and Ian Allen took 5th in the butterfly (1:46.95). To conclude the meet, the Golden Grizzlies ended in typical relay fashion with an impressive third place finish from the men's A relay team with strings Harry Nicholson, Jack Wike, Charlie Brown, and Christian Bart with a time of 2:53.79, and the women's team took 12th behind the speed of Erika Pietras, Jordyn Shipps, Sam Thiessen, and Ronja Riihinen (3:23.02).
