INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - On Thursday, the Horizon League revealed their 2025-26 Under Armor #HLSD Preseason Poll, with Oakland claiming the first-place spots for both men's and women's swimming and diving once again.
As returning Horizon League Champions, the teams aim to extend their historic streak this season. Both squads have won the Horizon League conference since their induction, extending their run to 12 consecutive titles. Currently, the swimming and diving team has a record of 47 consecutive conference championships for the men, while the women's team has won 31 in a row.
In this year's preseason poll, the men's team secured five of the seven first-place votes for a total of 47 points, while the women received all seven first-place votes for 49 points.
Oakland plans to extend their historic championship run as the teams dive into their season at the Black and Gold Intrasquad meet on Sept. 26 at the Oakland Aquatic Center, followed by their first competition against Youngstown State on Oct. 3-4 at the Beeghly Natatorium.
