Heidal sent one long and far as he smacked his second home run of the series, and the first Golden Grizzly grand slam of the year for an early 4-0 lead. The Colonels answered with a home run for itself, a two-run shot, but Oakland answered in a big way in the third.

The bases were jacked once again from two singles, along with a hit by pitch, as Ian Cleary was patient at the plate and saw four-straight balls to bring a run through. Heidal tacked on another RBI to his name after he hit one towards first base which scored John Lauinger. The runs didn't stop there, as batters continued to be walked while Aidan Orr took one for the team and was hit to drive in another run.

Sam Griffith kept the inning rolling and knocked in a pair of runners as he singled through the left side and followed it up by crossing the plate courtesy of a Reggie Bussey single. Trent Rice sent Bussey from first to home after he trickled one into the gap, deep, for a triple, as Lauinger brought him home with a single towards the outfield to make it 12-2 after three.

The Colonels tried to ease its deficit with a pair of runs in the fourth, but Oakland answered right back as Trent Rice utilized a pair of Colonel errors, and a wild pitch, to cross the plate in the fifth. The runs didn't stop in the fifth, as Oakland knocked in a handful of hits from four singles, along with a ground out, to put the lead to 18-4. Griffith saw two base runners on the pads, with a runner on first and second, as he knocked in Carter Hain to increase its lead.
