Oakland Splits Weekend Matches and Returns Home With a Powerful Victory

Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 ROCHESTER, Mich. - Oakland women's tennis wrapped the road trip of matches with a loss at Ball State 1-6, but ending on a win over Lake Superior State 6-1.

The Golden Grizzlies bounced back after a hard fought loss on Friday night to claim the powerful win on Saturday against Lake Superior State. Leading in doubles wins was pair Isabelle Popma and Emma Hultqvist who walked away with a 6,0 sweep to start the night off. Following them was Edie Hammond and Emilia Jarvienen who repeated with a 6,0 win against the Lakers. And lastly Tara Montreuil and Alma Orenstain saw action in their 3,2 win to close out doubles play for Oakland.

Jarvinen punched another singles victory on the stat sheet and set the tone for the rest of the afternoon where Popma, Hammond, Hultqvist, and Orenstain all followed recording wins resulting in the 6-1 team victory over the Lakers.
