BARTONVILLE, Ill. – The Oakland Women's Golf team delivered a strong performance at the Bradley Coyote Creek Classic, earning a third place finish.
Over two days of play at the Coyote Creek Golf Club, the Golden Grizzlies faced off against seven highly competitive schools and held their own. On the first day of competition, the Golden Grizzlies found themselves positioned in second place (+38) after two rounds of play. In a competitive final round, the Golden Grizzlies posted a team total of 67 strokes over par, earning third place on the weekend.
The Golden Grizzlies posted four top-20 finishes on the weekend.
Olivia Hemmila finished the weekend in tenth place with a final of 14 over par with consistent play each round.
Grace Boczar was close behind, finishing in 11th place with a total of 232 (+16) on the weekend. Finishing in 13th place,
Lily Bargamian posted an impressive weekend with a total of 233 (+17). Rounding out top-20 finishes,
Paige Scott shot 236 (+20) on the weekend and finished in 18th place.
The Oakland Women's Golf team posted an impressive first two rounds to set them up for success. This impressive showing at the Bradley Coyote Creek Classic demonstrates promise for the rest of the season. The Golden Grizzlies look to the Central Michigan Birmingham Invite on October 14-15 to continue their impressive play shown this weekend.
