EVANSVILLE, Ind. – The Oakland Women's Golf earns third place in the Braun Intercollegiate to round out their fall competition lineup.
With the Braun Intercollegiate only consisting of two rounds of play, the Golden Grizzlies showed their skills early.
Lily Bargamian and
Savannah Haque finished the first round tied for 13th place after shooting 77 (+5) in the first round.
Grace Boczar and
Paige Scott were not far behind. Both shot 79 (+7) in the first round to help the Golden Grizzlies sit in fourth place at the conclusion of the first round. Individual
Nateda Her shot a round total of 76 (+4) to put herself into 12th at the end of the first round.
In the second and final round, the Golden Grizzlies made a push.
Olivia Hemmila had a stellar final round, shooting 76 (+4), and leading the Golden Grizzlies Tuesday. Both Boczar and Haque completed the final round with a total of 78 (+6).
Lily Bargamian tallied a 79 (+7) in the final round. Lastly, individual
Nateda Her shot an 83 (+11) to close out the day.
The Golden Grizzlies had four players place in the top-20 individually.
Savannah Haque finished in 11th place after posting a 155 (+11) total. Right on her heels,
Lily Bargamian finished 12th with a total of 156 (+12). Tied for 13th,
Grace Boczar posted 157 (+13) at the Braun Intercollegiate.
Olivia Hemmila had an impressive final round to finish tied for 16th with a total of 158 (+14). Overall, the Oakland Women's Golf team finished third at the Braun Intercollegiate with a total score of 623 (+47).
This fall for the Oakland Women's Golf team has shown tremendous improvement, with a third place finish at the Coyote Creek Classic and first place finish in the Motor City Match-up going into this final competition. Multiple Golden Grizzlies have shown success across different competitions, showcasing the talent across this Women's Golf team.
Following the completion of fall competition, the Oakland Women's Golf team prepares for remaining tournaments in the spring. In February, the Golden Grizzlies will head to Kalamazoo for the Western Michigan Invite to kick-off spring competition.
