LOUISVILLE, Ky. – On Thursday, the National Fastpitch Coaches Association named Oakland University Softball pitcher
Sydney Campbell to an exclusive All-Great Lakes Region Third Team honor.
Campbell finished the season as the Horizon League Pitcher of the Year for the second-straight season with a 1.89 earned run average which went down to 0.98 against conference opponents. The LaGrange, Ohio native finished with a 20-8 record, an #HLSB All-Tournament Team listing, #HLSB All-League First Team honor, #HLSB All-Academic distinction, and a College Sports Communicators Academic All-District tab.
The redshirt junior threw for 190.0 innings with just 40 earned runs in 740 at-bats with 106 total strikeouts on the season. Earlier this year, Campbell became the school record holder in career wins, a feat that continued to grow throughout the season.
