Top Ten Finish From Bridget Boczar Helps Elevate Competition In Kentucky

ROCHESTER, Mich. - Oakland Women's Golf returns home from the Nevel Meade Collegiate with a 5th place team finish accumulating a plus 56 over par 72 final score of 632 (322, 310) in Prospect, Kentucky.

Freshman Bridget Boczar nailed down the top-ten finish for the Golden Grizzlies tying for eighth for her final score of 151 (76, 75). Behind her was Emily Fleming who placed for 26th in a four-way tie between competitors from Cleveland State, Bellarmine, and Dayton reflecting her tournament tally of 159 (83, 76). Continuing with Ashley Chin she made impressive strides on the green as she tied for 33rd on the course to account for her final score of 161 (80, 81). And rounding out the five for Oakland include Mariella Simoncini landing her 37th place finish tied with four others from her total score of 162 (84, 78), and then Grace Boczar took the 47th spot in five-way tie with tournament competitors reaching a final score of 164 (83, 81).

Individually, Golden Grizzly Nateda Her tied for 66th covering her performances throughout the two days in Prospect tallying a final score of 172 (87, 85).
