Rochester, Mich. - Another week of Oakland Athletics has passed, which means another stellar pair of student-athletes has shined for their programs. Men's Basketball's Rocket Watts and Women's Swimming and Diving's Jordyn Shipps take home this week's OU Prairie Farms Student-Athletes of the Week honors.

Watts caught the hot hand for the Men's Basketball team, notching double-digit scoring performances in both of their games, including ten points in a win against Bowling Green in the home opener and a career-high tying 23-point outing against Drake at the Cayman Islands Classic. Watts shot a highly efficient 11-22 (.500 FG%) from the field during the week. He also tallied three triples, six boards, three steals and four assists in his amazing week of play.

Shipps stood out for the Women's Swimming and Diving program, netting her the outstanding athlete honors. Shipps dominated the Women's Meet against Eastern Michigan, earining first place in three individual events. She won the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 23.88, 100-yard butterfly with a time of 55.48, and the 200-yard IM with a time of 2:06.4. Shipps showed her speed and versatility in alll races, continuing her very strong season for the program. In total, Shipps has nine individual event wins, leading both the Men's and Women's teams.
