Women's Soccer Adds Three to Coaching Staff

ROCHESTER, Mich. – Oakland University Women's Soccer and Head Coach Juan Pablo Favero have announced the addition of three distinguished individuals to the coaching staff.

The team first welcomes Chris Davidovicz, whom Favero had worked with at previous stops, bringing head coaching experience to Rochester via the University of West Georgia. Davidovicz fills in the Assistant Coach role on an interim basis as Brian Diaz is on extended medical leave.

"Chris and I have worked together at Newberry College and Georgia College, so it has been a smooth transition on and off the field. I sincerely did not expect him to be able to come up to Michigan from South Carolina. Without hesitation. Chris answered our call for help, and we are truly blessed to have him help us as an interim assistant coach while Brian gets back to full health," said Favero, "His experience as a college head coach and his ability to work with our goal-keepers was providential in meeting our needs. Chris hit the ground running last week and has already shown an all-in commitment to the team and players. We are all very grateful for his addition to our program."

Kurtz comes to OU with a Bachelor's of Science degree in Kinesiology from Michigan State as the new Golden Grizzly boasts professional work with the Michigan Orthopedic Center.

"Libby brings the knowledge and background in sports and exercise science which is critically important to our program and our players," said Favero. "We use technology in our team training activities and preparation for matches, so having someone with this expertise was a very high priority for us. She is also a very driven and hard-working individual, and she came through in a big way as we prepared to receive the team for the pre-season going above and beyond the call of duty."

Lastly, Favero brings Volunteer Assistant Coach Jeremy Harkins into the fold. Harkins has been serving on the executive staff of Nationals and has numerous years of playing experience with the A-League, CPSL, and PDL.

"Jeremy is an established and highly-respected coaching director with Nationals, one of Michigan's top youth clubs. We are fortunate to have him help our players and program. He brings a wealth of experience and a fresh set of eyes which will benefit us all," said Favero, "His selfless response and genuine interest in helping our program during a trying situation reflect his character and integrity. I am most grateful for his willingness to join our staff."

"I look forward to collaborating with these coaches as we all use our strengths to add value to our players and help them achieve their goals this Fall," said Favero.
