2022-23 Men's Basketball Non-Conference Schedule Finalized

ROCHESTER, Mich. – Oakland University Men's Basketball and Head Coach Greg Kampe have unveiled the team's 2022-23 non-conference slate.

The Golden Grizzlies will fire off the season with two exhibition games against Grand Valley State inside the O'rena on Thursday, October 20 at 7:00 p.m. before heading across town to Rochester College (Mich.) at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 1.

Defiance College (Ohio) returns to Michigan as the team will host the Yellow Jackets in Rochester for the first time since 2018 to start the regular season before hosting Bowling Green on November 11 at 7:00 p.m.

Oakland boasts a home game from there with heavy-hitter and power five opponent Oklahoma State, who the Golden Grizzlies defeated 56-55 a year ago, as the Cowboys and Golden Grizzlies will clash on November 13 at 3:00 p.m.

A local trip to Toledo on November 16 serves as a road game in between the homestand before one final non-conference home match against Eastern Michigan on November 19 at 3:00 p.m.

As previously announced, the Golden Grizzlies will travel to Nassau, Bahamas for the 2022 Baha Mar Hoops Nassau Championship in the three-game guaranteed, multi-team event with Oakland rounding out day one against Long Beach State at 8:00 p.m. on November 25.

A date with Syracuse for the first time since the 2019-20 season will have the Golden Grizzlies in the JMA Wireless Dome on December 6. Oakland will head out to Idaho to see the reigning Mountain West Conference champions, Boise State, on December 18 before seeing yet another familiar foe in Michigan State in East Lansing at the Breslin Center on December 22.
