ROCHESTER, Mich. – On Thursday, the Oakland University Men's Basketball team was announced as part of an eight team field for the 2022 Baha Mar Hoops Nassau Championship in the Bahamas from November 25-27. 

The Golden Grizzlies will face Long Beach State in the fourth and final game of day one on November 25 at 8:00 p.m. in the first meeting between Oakland and The Beach who finished 20-13 last year, 12-3 overall in the Big West Conference.

Oakland were champions of the 2021 Gulf Coast Showcase in Estero, Florida last year defeating Rice, Delaware, and fellow Nassau Championship participant Vermont. 

This year's event features Oakland along with previously mentioned Vermont, Missouri State, Ball State, Long Beach State, North Texas, San Jose State, and University of North Carolina-Wilmington. In 2021, Toledo defeated Coastal Carolina in the championship game. 

All 12 games of the invitational will be streamed live on FloHoops.
