HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Kent. – Extending their win streak to three games and improving to 29-24 (18-10 Horizon League), the Oakland Golden Grizzlies won a slugfest with the Northern Kentucky Norse, 14-12, on Friday, May 20.
This 29
th win is a new program record for the Golden Grizzlies since they began play at the NCAA Division I level in 1998, besting the 2000 team's mark of 28 wins.

Kyle Klingenbeck, a junior right-hander, took the loss for Northern Kentucky, dropping him to 3-7. A native of nearby Cincinnati, Ohio, he went 4.1 innings, giving up eight runs on eight hits with five walks and seven strikeouts.
