2023 (Junior):
- Widely regarded as the best defensive catcher in the Horizon League, he was one of only three Golden Grizzlies to play in all 60 games, 57 of which were starts, and allowed only three passed balls all season while throwing out 35.4 percent (23-65) of opposing base stealers
- His bat heated up in the second half of the campaign and he finished the year slashing .247/.387/.317 with 10 doubles, a home run, 26 RBI and 7 stolen bases
- Home run in the May 18 victory over the Northern Kentucky Norse was the first big fly of his career
- Named to the Horizon League All-Tournament Team after tallying 4 hits, 4 runs and a pair of RBI in Oakland’s four games
2022 (Sophomore):
- Stepping into an even larger role when graduate student Cam Post was sidelined with an injury, Heidal caught 55 games, 54 of which were starts, and hit .278 with five doubles, 24 RBI and four stolen bases
- Posted a .993 fielding percentage and threw out 18 opposing baserunners
- Recorded a six-game hit streak from April 12-22, including three multiple-knock efforts
- Tallied a career-high four hits in the April 3 victory over the Youngstown State Penguins and matched this total in the May 20 win over the Northern Kentucky Norse
2021 (Freshman):
• Horizon League All-Freshman Team selection
• Saw action in 35 games with 28 starts at catcher recording 20 hits with four doubles, 13 RBI, 12 walks and 12 runs scored
• First career hit was a double at Middle Tennessee State (2/23)
• Recorded three multiple-hit games, going 2-for-2 with an RBI and run at Purdue Fort Wayne (3/21), 2-for-4 with two RBI and a double in Oakland's 8-6 win at Milwaukee (5/2) and 2-for-4 with a run in a 15-2 victory over Northern Kentucky (5/8)
• Tallied 184 putouts and 20 assists while making only one error on the season
High School:
• Three-year letterwinner for head coach Eric Borba
• Helped Orange Lutheran to a 25-8 record and National High School Invitational Tournament title in 2018, along with a Trinity League title in 2019
• Appeared in 20 games as a junior and hit .333
• Went 3-3 with two doubles and a single, while throwing out two runners defensively
