Rochester, Mich. – Taking two of three in the series, Oakland ran past the Milwaukee Panthers, 17-8, on Sunday, May 1.
The win moves the Golden Grizzlies back to .500 overall at 21-21 and a full three games ahead of Youngstown State for third place in the Horizon League at 11-8.
Milwaukee, meanwhile, is now 16-23 and 5-12 in league play.
Racking up 19 hits, Oakland scored 12 of their runs in a two-inning span, plating five in the fourth and seven more in the fifth.

For Phillips, Sunday put a bow on a series in which he hit .615 (8-13) and extended his hit streak to a season-long six games. On the year, the Georgia native's .311 batting average (47-151) is second-best on the squad, behind only Goulet's .343.

Quinton Kujawa picked up his second win of the season, allowing two hits with a walk and four strikeouts.
Fellow righty
Jacob Wosinski, a redshirt senior, drew the start and lasted two innings, giving up five runs on six hits with a pair of walks.
The Panthers used seven pitchers on the day, with sophomore right-hander Nick Gilhaus taking the loss, dropping him to 1-5.

Oakland will hit the road for a couple of games against the Atlantic Coast Conference's (ACC) Pittsburgh Panthers on Tuesday and Wednesday, May 3 and 4.
Tuesday's first pitch is scheduled for 6 p.m., with a 3 p.m. start time on Wednesday.
Currently 24-17 and 10-10 in conference play, Pittsburgh is tied with Georgia Tech for fourth place in the ACC Coastal Division.
