HUNTINGTON, W.Va. --Â Ian Cleary put together an outstanding performance at the plate Saturday, hitting three home runs to help power the Oakland Golden Grizzlies over the Marshall Thundering Herd 10-4. This puts Cleary in the Oakland baseball record book as tied for most home runs in a game.Â
Chas Sagedahl (1-1) got the win for Oakland (3-7). The sophomore went seven innings, giving up two runs, both of them earned, on six hits, allowing one walk and striking out eight.
Cleary went 3-for-4 at the plate, supplementing his three home runs with five RBIs. Thomas Green added to Cleary's awesome power-hitting performance by going 2-for-3 with an RBI. Senior Luke Malmanger also helped out for the Golden Grizzlies, going 1-for-4 with a double and an RBI.

The Golden Grizzlies scored in six different innings on the way to the win. Oakland broke a 1-1 tie and took the lead for good at 2-1 in the fifth inning The big hits for the Golden Grizzlies in the inning were a three-run home run off the bat of Cleary and a two-run single from Seth Tucker.
