Box Score PERRYSBURG, Ohio– The Oakland women's tennis team won its fifth match in six outings after defeating Bowling Green 4-3, Friday afternoon from the Perrysburg Tennis Center.
 
Oakland (5-4) earned the doubles point after Liza Mladentseva and Jillian Milano won at the no. 2 spot, 6-4. The Golden Grizzlies earned the second match by forfeit to secure the doubles point.
 
In singles play Nirva Patel won 1-6, 6-0, 7-6 (4) in the no. 3 spot, and Tegan Heaton earned the victory in no. 5 singles 6-1, 6-0.
 
Oakland will host Lake Superior State in its home opener Saturday at 4:30 p.m. at Bloomfield Tennis & Fitness.
