Box Score CHICAGO – The Oakland tennis team defeated Chicago State, 5-2 Sunday from H-F Racquet & Fitness Club, extending its overall record against the Cougars to 5-0. 
 
Sunday's contest marked Oakland's fourth win in five matches. 
 
Yasmin Glazbrook and 
Nirva Patel, the reigning Horizon League Doubles Team of the week won 6-2 at the no. 1 doubles spot, but the Golden Grizzlies couldn't earn the doubles point after falling in the no. 2 and no. 3 spots. 
 
Liza Mladentseva got the win in no. 1 singles, 6-1, 6-3, while Glazbrook earned a point at the number two spot, 6-4, 7-6 (2). 
 
Oakland earned wins in the fourth through sixth spot to secure the 5-2 win over the Cougars. 
 
Jillian Milano battled to come from behind after dropping the first set, to get the win in no. 4 singles (3-6, 6-2, 6-4). 
Tegan Heaton continued her impressive freshman campaign earning her sixth-straight singles win, (6-2, 6-2). 
Mia Melnizki capped off the Oakland's final singles win of the day in straight sets (6-0, 6-0).
 
The Golden Grizzlies will travel to Bowling Green, Ohio to take on the Falcons Friday, March 18 at 1 p.m.
