Box Score MUNCIE, Ind. – The Oakland tennis team fell to Ball State in a 6-1 decision Saturday afternoon at the Northwest YMCA. 
 
The Golden Grizzlies trailed early after the Cardinals took the doubles point, despite a back-and-forth battle in the No. 1 and No. 2 competition.
 
Liza Mladentseva made her Oakland debut after a big win in No. 2 singles (7-5, 4-6, 10-6). Mladentseva also battled with teammate Nirva Patel in No. 1 doubles in a close 6-3 decision that ultimately ended in BSU's favor.
 
Oakland will travel to Florida for its annual spring break trip featuring five matches spanning from February 26 through March 7.
