OAKLAND MEN AND WOMEN IN THIRD PLACE AFTER DAY TWO OF CHAMPIONSHIP

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio -- 
During day two of the Horizon League Championship Marcus Nellum broke the school record in the 110 hurdles with a time of 14.48 and also finished in second place in the 400 hurdles (53.91). The men's 4x100 team made up of Jimmie Williams, Sheldon Drake, Delan Wynn and Napoleon Outlaw III won with a time of 41.12, a new facility record.

Top performances of the day include Payton Sabourin who placed second in the 400 hurdles (1:02.62) followed by Meghan Earles in sixth (1:06.78). Emily Schaub finished third in the heptathlon with a score of 4706 while Gabby Cyriax placed fourth in the hammer throw (150 ft., 4 in.). Zach Stadnika finished third in the long jump with a distance of 23 ft., 5 in. 

Outlaw finished fourth in the 100 (10.76) followed by Drake in sixth (10.85) while Chandler Lorf finished fourth in the 3000 steeple (9:24.32). 

On the women's side, Jennifer Ohlsson finished sixth in the 3000 steeple (11:18.31). Azsah Bradley finished fourth in the 100 (12.17) followed by Marthea Vann-Scott in fifth (12.22). 

The women's 4x100 team consisting of Vann-Scott, Bradley, Naomi Hallman, and Jaylah Walton finished in fifth place with a time of 48.86. 

Field athlete Kyle Piotrovsky placed fifth in the shot put (48 ft., 8.75 in.) followed by Romario Jackson in ninth (46 ft., 10.75 in.). Ella Block finished fifth in the pole vault (11 ft., 10 in.) followed by Megan Kusler in eighth (11 ft., 6.25 in.). Rose Philoge tied for fifth in the long jump (18 ft., 3 in.) and finished fourth in the 100 hurdles (14.56) while Lauren Christian took fourth place in the shot put (44 ft., 9.75 in.). 

The Oakland men and women both sit in third place heading into the final day of competition.
