KANSAS CITY, Mo. –
Oakland men's soccer infielder Noah Jensen has earned 2020-21 United Soccer Coaches NCAA Division I Men's All-America second team honors announced by the national office on Thursday. Jensen becomes the first men's soccer student-athlete in program history to earn All-America second team honors in the Division I era. Jason Perry was the last men's soccer student-athlete to garner All-America honors in 2003 as a third team selection.

Jensen, a senior from Courtice, Ontario, Canada, Jensen was recently named to the United Soccer Coaches All-North Region first team and was named one of 15 men's soccer national semifinalists for the United Soccer Coaches Missouri Athletic Club (MAC) Hermann Trophy, the highest individual award presented to a player in intercollegiate soccer.

"What a fantastic honor for Noah to be awarded. All-American second team and a semifinalist for the Hermann Trophy is amazing," said Head Coach Eric Pogue. "This season for Noah has to be considered one of the most successful for an Oakland men's soccer player in the NCAA Division I era scoring four goals with a nation best 14 assists in only nine games while captaining our team to a one loss season and a top 20 RPI national ranking is historic. He leads our team on the field and in the classroom with his excellence. We are all very proud of Noah."

Jensen was also named 2021 Horizon League Player of the Year and earned All-Horizon League first team honors while garnering Horizon League All-Academic Team honors with a 3.70 overall GPA majoring in Actuarial Science and perfect 4.00 GPA last semester.

Jensen leads the nation in assists (14) and assists per game (1.56) and ranks seventh in the nation while leading the Horizon League in points (22) and second in the country in points per game (2.44). He also ranked third on the team in goals (4) with three coming off penalty kicks.

Jensen earned TopDrawerSoccer.com Men's DI Player of the Week honors and was one of 11 student-athletes named to the TopDrawerSoccer.com Men's DI Team of the Week after having a hand in all four of Oakland's goals scoring the game-winner in the 74th minute while assisting on the other three totaling five points in the thrilling 4-3 win over Milwaukee (3/12).
