ROCHESTER, Mich. - Kendra Zak has earned prestigious 2021 United Soccer Coaches NCAA Division I Women's Scholar All-Region second-team honors. 

In spring 2021, Zak became the first player in program history to earn United Soccer Coaches Scholar All-America third-team honors. 

Reigning from West Bloomfield, Mich. Zak earned All-Region third-team honors in the spring of 2021 and continued to be a force for the Golden Grizzlies on defense this season. 

The senior was named to the All-League First Team for her second year in a row after starting in all 21 games Oakland played, totaling 1,843 minutes, the most on the team. 

Zak assisted the defense in earning their impressive 1.5 goals-against-average, and her solid defensive presence helped Oakland reach five shutouts. She also assisted a goal in the 2-1 win over IUPUI. Zak was also named to the All-Academic team and majors in operation management with a strong 3.71 grade point average.
