JENSEN EARNS THREE SOCCER ACCOLADES IN ONE WEEK

ROCHESTER, Mich. - Noah Jensen of men's soccer had a busy week as he racked up three soccer accolades. The senior earned the Horizon League Tournament MVP award, TopDrawerSoccer National Player of the Week, and earned a spot on the College Soccer Men's Team of the Week.

Jensen was a key player in both the semi and final games of the Horizon League Tournament. Oakland secured their spot in the championship game after defeating the Flames 3-1 in the Horizon League semifinals. The Golden Grizzlies took a quick 1-0 advantage after Jensen took a cross and fired it past the UIC keeper. Later in the game, with a 2-1 lead, he added an insurance goal on a PK.

In the Horizon League Championship, Jensen put a ball into the net just 41 seconds in, adding an assist later in the game. These notable performances led to him being named Horizon League Tournament MVP, the first player to earn this title since Matt Dudley in 2015.

Jensen has his name on most of the Horizon League leaderboards and is the leader in assists (12), ranked third in points (26), fourth in shots on goal (23), sixth in shots (57), and seventh in goals (7).

As 2021 Horizon League Champions, Oakland will compete in the NCAA Tournament on Nov. 18 at NIU.
