MONTGOMERY, Ala. - Blake Griffith went 2-for-4 scoring Oakland's only run of the game while Cam Post also went 2-for-4 with a double as the Golden Grizzlies fell 11-1 in the series finale at Alabama State on Sunday at the Wheeler-Watkins Baseball Complex. 

Michael Stygles and Austin Higgins also each posted a hit as Oakland's (2-4) offense could not get anything going at the plate against Alabama State (6-1) starter Austin King and reliever Breon Pooler. 

Three Oakland errors also proved to be costly as five of ASU's eight runs through the third inning were unearned. The Hornets did most of their damage in the third inning plating six runs with three being unearned. 

Oakland got on the board in the ninth inning as Bobby Cavin grounded into a double play which scored Griffith from third.

Oakland hits the road for Spring Break with a four-game set at Cincinnati beginning on Friday, Feb. 28th at 4 p.m.
