CINCINNATI, Ohio- Jalen Moore led the Golden Grizzlies for the third-straight game, recording a game-high 17 points as the Oakland men's basketball team fell to Bradley 74-60 in the finale of the Xavier Invitational Friday from the Cintas Center.
Moore's 17 points was accompanied by seven steals, five assists and three rebounds.
Blake Lampman hit three triples on the day, finishing with 11 points, while
Micah Parrish rounded out the double digit performers with 10 points and eight boards.
Oakland (0-3) tied things up at 12 a piece midway through the first half, but Bradley (2-1) took control of the game shortly after, rallying off eight-straight points to propel a 29-11 run and give the Braves an 18-point lead, 41-23. The Golden Grizzlies headed into the locker room trailing 43-28.
The Golden Grizzlies weren't able to claw back into the second half as the Braves' lead remained in double digits the entire half.
Oakland struggled offensively in the first half, shooting just 28 percent from the floor, and 25 percent from 3-point range. The Golden Grizzlies returned from halftime with a hot-hand from downtown, making nine of 22 triples (42 percent).
Bradley went 52 percent from the floor on the day (29-56) and 48 percent from long-range (10-21).
Defensively, Oakland forced 20 turnovers, scoring 21 points off the Braves' miscues.
Oakland returns to the hardwood Sunday, Nov. 29 at Michigan at 6 pm.
