ROCHESTER, Mich. – The Oakland tennis team opens the 2020 spring season in Kalamazoo as the Golden Grizzlies take on Western Michigan, Saturday, Jan. 18 at 1 p.m. at Sorenson Courts.
 
The Golden Grizzlies are slated to take on four-straight Mid-American Conference (MAC) opponents starting with Western Michigan. Oakland will then travel to Akron on Sunday, Jan. 26 before hosting Toledo on Sunday, Feb. 9 at Bloomfield Tennis & Fitness beginning at 4:30. The Golden Grizzlies will travel to Muncie, Ind. to face off against Ball State before heading to Florida for their annual Spring Break trip. 
 
Oakland was selected to finish third in the 2020 Horizon League women's tennis preseason poll. The Golden Grizzlies also received two first place votes. It marks the second straight season Oakland has been selected to finish third place.
