Jamie Walling registered 10 kills for a hitting percentage of .304 plus added three digs, one block and one service ace as the Oakland volleyball team swept Tennessee Tech in three sets Friday at Cliff Keen Arena as part of the opening day of the Michigan Invitational. Oakland dropped its first match of the day to No. 15 Michigan 3-0.Â
Taylor Dellinger recorded nine kills and one block, while
Mackenzie Schneider added five kills and 2.5 blocks.Â
Brittany Welch notched five kills, four digs and one block while
Madison Ross and
AnnaBelle Tomei dished out 18 and 15 assists respectively.
Defensively,
Lindsay Wightman led the Golden Grizzlies with 11 digs plus fired off a career high three service aces.

In Oakland's opening match against the 15th-ranked Wolverines, Walling recorded a team high seven kills with a .700 hitting percentage, plus four digs and two blocks.
Jessica Riedl added six blocks, hitting .500, and Tomei handed out 12 assists.
The Golden Grizzlies (1-1) will take on Northern Arizona tomorrow in their home opener at 4 p.m. inside the O'rena. Saturday's match will be streamed live on ESPN+.
