
ROCHESTER, Mich. – A handful of Oakland Track and Field athletes will travel to Hillsdale, Mich. to participate in the annual Hillsdale Last Chance Classic for a chance to obtain an NCAA regional qualifying time. Field events are scheduled to begin at 12 pm while all running events are set to start at 4 pm.
Jimmie William is slotted to compete in the 400m dash, coming in with seed time of 47.11 and
Marcus Nellum will participate in the 400m hurdles entering with a seed time of 52.92.
Last time out, the Golden Grizzlies men and women's programs took third place at the Horizon League Championships. The men tallied 93 points while the women scored 103. The men's 4x400 team of

Marcus Nellum and
Jimmie Williams ran to a school record with a time of 3:15.07 while thrower
Gabby Cyriax broke two school records over the weekend, one in discus and one in the hammer throw. In addition,
Olivia Kane broke a school record of her own in the pole vault, clearing a height of 13 ft., 1.5 in.
