INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - The Horizon League announced their first Outdoor Track and Field Athletes of the Week on Tuesday, naming Oakland's Abigail Rice as the First Women's Track Athlete of the Week this spring.

The sophomore from Rochester earned her first career outdoor win, outpacing the field in the 800m with a personal best time of 2:18.63 at the Polar Bear Invite at Indiana Wesleyan University.

Rice leads Oakland into another week of competition as the team heads to the NC State Raleigh Relays (3/26-28) and Cedarville University (3/28).
