
MILWAUKEE - Matt DiLeo hit 2-for-5 connecting on a three-run home run while
Myles Zilinsky added a solo shot helping Oakland snap an eight-game skid with a 6-5 win at Milwaukee on Mother's Day at Henry Aaron Field.
Nick Parr picked up his third win of the season going 6.0 innings allowing only two runs (one earned) with a season-high seven strikeouts.
Austin Sherry also recorded his fourth save on the year going 2.0 innings in relief.
Ronnie Krsolovic and
Cherokee LeBeau each hit 2-for-4 with a RBI while
Mario Camilletti also posted two hits.
Oakland (11-33, 9-15 HL) jumped out to a early 4-0 lead as LeBeau hit a RBI groundout on in the second inning followed by DiLeo's three-run bomb in the third. Milwaukee (29-18-1, 16-10 HL) cut the lead in half plating a run in the bottom of the third and fourth innings.
Zilinsky's solo shot put the Golden Grizzlies up 5-2 in the fifth. The Panthers made things interesting with a two-run homer in the eighth followed by a RBI single in the ninth before Sherry was able to retire the last two batters to secure the win.
Oakland hosts Wright State for the final series of the season beginning on Thursday, May 16 at 3 p.m.
