
ROCHESTER, Mich. - Drew Demumbrum went 2-for-4 hitting his team-leading fifth home run of the season while
Matt DiLeo hit his third homer as Oakland dropped the series opener at Wright State, 6-2, on Friday from Nischwitz Stadium.
Cherokee LeBeau also went to 2-for-3 while
Mario Camilletti added a double along with a single from
Mike McGee to account for all of Oakland's (8-22, 6-7 HL) seven total hits.
After Wright State (23-11, 8-5 HL) took a 1-0 lead in the first, Demumbrum tied the game with his big fly in the second inning followed by DiLeo's long ball in the fourth giving the Golden Grizzlies a 2-1 lead.
WSU responded with four runs in the fourth and another in the eighth to seal the win.
Both teams will conclude the series with a doubleheader on Saturday, Apr. 13 starting at 1 p.m.
