
CHICAGO - Mario Camilletti went 1-for-2 with two RBI while
Matt DiLeo went 2-for-3 as Oakland dropped the series finale at UIC, 4-2, on St. Patrick's Day Sunday at Curtis Granderson Stadium.
Blake Griffith and
Jace Matkin also each recorded a hit.
Beau Keathley went 6.0 innings with eight strikeouts on the mound.
After a scoreless first three innings, UIC (6-8, 3-0 HL) took a 2-0 lead in the bottom of the fourth off a RBI groundout and a balk. Oakland (0-17, 0-3 HL) responded in the top of the fifth as Camilletti hit a two-run single scoring
Myles Zilinsky and Matkin to tie the game at 2-2.
UIC took the lead off a pair of RBI singles in the sixth and was able to hold the Golden Grizzlies off the board to complete the series sweep.
Oakland continues league play at YSU on Friday, March 22 at 5 p.m.
