DAYTON, Ohio -- Brad Brechting recorded his second double-double in three games with 16 points and 10 rebounds on 7 of 11 shooting as the Oakland men's basketball team dropped a road contest Thursday night to Wright State 76-62.

Brechting scored in double figures for the fifth straight game and is averaging 18 points in that span. The Golden Grizzlies have had a player record a double-double in their last five consecutive games.

Jaevin Cumberland scored a game high 19 points and shot 5 of 7 from three-point range, while adding a team high four assists.

Xavier Hill-Mais added 10 points and four rebounds.

It was a tale of two halves between the Golden Grizzlies (11-14, 7-5 HL) and Raiders (14-11, 8-4 HL) as Oakland held a 41-35 halftime lead, holding Wright State to just 1 of 10 shooting from three-point range.

Wright State came out in the second half and scored 18 straight points and Oakland went scoreless the first 6:38 of the second half, missing its first eight shots. Wright State outscored Oakland 41-21 in the second half as the 21 points by Oakland is the lowest scored in a half this season.

The Golden Grizzlies will take on first-place Northern Kentucky on Saturday, Feb. 9 in Highland Heights at 7 p.m.
